Report a Tree Problem
You, your neighbors, hospitals, businessesyour entire communitydepend
on safe, reliable electric service. Safe and reliable electric
service is threatened in part by trees growing into electric lines.
When electric lines come in contact with trees, three problems can occur:
- Power Outages
- Fire Hazards
- Safety Hazards
On the average, Upper Peninsula Power Company trims trees near power lines every six
years in residential areas and every six years in rural areas. The line
clearance work is done for UPPCO by companies with
specialized equipment and trained personnel.
