Linus M. Stoll Grant
Purpose
The Linus M. Stoll Technical College Grant promotes technical college excellence
by providing financial assistance to students who have demonstrated high academic
standards, provided exemplary community service and exhibited leadership while
attending high school.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be the son/daughter of a customer with a primary residence in Wisconsin Public
Service Corporation or Upper Peninsula Power Company territory, or the son/daughter
of a Wisconsin Public Service or UPPCO employee.
- Be a high school senior graduating in the current academic year with a
minimum 3.0 grade point average.
- Have performed community service activities that have contributed to the
community in which they live.
- Have taken a leadership role in extracurricular activities while in high
school. (An alternative qualification would be documented performance of
successful part-time work experience.)
- Be accepted into a two-year associate degree program at one of the following
Wisconsin technical colleges:
- Fox Valley
- Lakeshore
- Northcentral
- Nicolet
- Mid-State
- Northeast Wisconsin
Awards
Two grants valued at $1,000 each will be awarded for the 2007-2008 academic year.
These grants will be renewable for the second year, provided the students maintain at
least a 3.0 grade point average and are in good standing with their technical college.
Selection
Staff members of the participating technical colleges will select the recipients.

Deadline
Applications must be received by February 1, 2008.
Notification
Award recipients will be notified of their selection in March of 2008. Grants
will be sent directly to the award winner's technical college, and applied directly to
school costs associated with the beginning of the 2008 fall term.
