College Scholarships
Purpose
This scholarship provides graduating high school seniors an opportunity to continue
their education at an accredited college or university offering a bachelor's degree
program.
Please note: Applicants for the College Scholarship who are planning to attend
the University of Wisconsin - Madison and major in Business or Engineering are also
automatically considered for the Paul D. Ziemer Scholarship and only need to fill out
one application.
Also note: Applicants for the college scholarship who are planning to
attend Marquette University or St. Norbert College majoring in Engineering or Business are
automatically considered for the Wayne J. Peterson Memorial Scholarship.
We believe that through encouragement and financial assistance, these deserving
students will one day make a significant contribution to their communities.

Committee members, whose training and experience qualify them to evaluate applicants,
are from the field of higher education. No employees of Wisconsin Public Service will
be engaged in the selection process.
Notification
Recipients and alternates will be notified beginning in April, and each scholarship
award will become effective when the student is enrolled in college. The scholarship
award will be sent directly to the college and will be credited to the recipient's
account.
Recipients of renewable scholarships who maintain satisfactory progress and are in
good standing at their colleges will retain the scholarship for four years or until
receiving a bachelor's degree, whichever comes first. The amount of the stipend may
change if the recipient's financial need changes.
If a recipient's studies are interrupted by illness, accident or other extenuating
